What is a Land
The land in Metachance is called LAND, a non-fungible digital ( NFT ) asset maintained in an Ethereum smart contract.
Land is divided into parcels that are identified by cartesian coordinates (x,y).
These parcels are permanently owned by members of the community and are purchased using CHANCE, Metachance’s cryptocurrency token. This gives users full control over the the land they own.
The content that makes up Metachance is stored and distributed via a decentralized network while ownership and transactions are validated on the Ethereum blockchain.

How to upgrade your Land
There are 3 ways to upgrade your land.
By reaching a total transaction threshold, your land automatically get to a higher tier.
By "staking" your land NFT in metachance platform. We call this "rooting" your land ( rooting is our term for non-custodial staking. It mean that your NFT stay in your wallet but you cannot sell it while it's staked )
By burning $Chance token to manually upgrade.
